Milan – A Colour Story

Written By on Sep 28th, 2010

With Milan Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Week over, the runway trend can’t be be more clear – it’s all about colours and more colours. It started with Gucci’s opening looks in orange, purple, green and blue, and as the week went by, fashion influencers like Prada and Jil Sander further reconfirmed the trend with boldly coloured collections. The Milan shows ended with Missoni and Versus toying with the fashion hues in zig-zag, ethnic prints, stripes, layering and daring colour-blocking. Only Dolce & Gabbana went against the current, having sent down the runway an almost all-white collection, and Bottege Veneta and Alberta Ferretti both stick to earthly tones.
