Perth Fashion Festival 2011 – Yeojin Bae
The weather might have been a little cold for Spring, but Perth Fashion Festival‘s first official show featuring Korean-born Melbourne based designer Yeojin Bae got off to a great start to the week-long event which literally set the whole quiet little city abuzz. I attended the festival for three days last week and it has been a really eye-opening experience (considering the fact that I have never traveled to australia before) and I shall write more about that in later posts.
Ex-Spicegirl Melanie Brown sat front row at the Yeojin Bae show in a skin tight dress which showed off her post-baby curves. You can tell she was in an extremely good mood through out the press conference in the afternoon and at the front seat.
Held at the Western Australian Museum, the show started with a nude paneled bandage dress followed by a few loose-fitting pieces and floral prints fit for the upcoming summer season in Australia. The peek-a-boo red bras gave the collection a rather sexy vibe, it’s got that subtly seductive tone. My favorite has got to be the ultra flattering flared mini dresses. For some reason, I think the label will do well in the asian market with the range and sophisticated selection.
