Zara opens new global flagship store in Hong Kong
Spanish retail giant ZARA has just opened a new global flagship in Hong Kong, at Queen’s Road, where H&M used to be. Located at one of the busiest and most crowded stretch of roads within the Central area, the monthly rent is rumoured to be a whooping US$1.4 million according to WSJ.
The store occupies 55,000 sq ft over six stories within the historical Crawford House. The interior design and store concept is in line with the chain’s flagship stores in other prominent cities such as New York, London, Paris or Madrid: beauty, clarity, functionality and sustainability.
In Singapore, the Marina Bay Sands store is the first to adopt the similar open space concept which creates a sensation of openness and freedom. The colour palette is neutral and toned down with minimalist displays that play role in not causing distraction to shoppers from the collections.
