Valentino for Gap

To celebrate GAP‘s first store openings in Italy, the US clothing retailer has collaborated with Italian fashion house Valentino for a capsule collection of seven styles. The collaboration might have been over-shadowed by the recent Lanvin x H&M hoopla, but the items will become available later this week at GAP’s flagship store in UK from 27 November and Colette on 29 November. The collection is sadly, not available anywhere else other than Europe, but you can surely find the pieces on Ebay and auctions etc.

The pieces, which involved all things ruffles coming from Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli’s vision for the new Valentino, are priced at £50 for a jersey t-shirt, £100 for the pants and £150 for the parka. The two brands might be as different as chalk and cheese, but they have managed to come up with a line of looks that say best about both their aesthetics. Khaki + ruffles, are you ready for that?
