“Try Before Buy” at Whole 9 Yards

IMG_5549

I first heard of the label Whole 9 Yards when they opened a pop-up shop at Stanley Street, tucked away in a quiet shophouse street in the CBD. There are a lot of things to love about their clothes – trendy, wearable and very chic. Most of the pieces fall under $300 and you can also shop their collections online at whole9yards.com.

They have recently started a “Try Before Buy” campaign which is absolutely brilliant. In this online-shopping obsessed era, anything that makes fitting and delivery easier is always a plus.

Try Before Buy works this way: shoppers go to the online shop and select up to three outfits of their choice. The outfits will be sent to them to try first for up to five days before they make any the decision to purchase. Keep the pieces you like and return the rest for free via courier service without any fee. Amazing isn’t it?

I tested the service recently and I have to give props to the team for their smooth handling. One thing you need to take note of is that the amount you “purchase” initially will be frozen and after you return the clothes, it takes about 1-2 weeks for the money to be un-frozen in your Paypal account. You also need to take care of the the clothes while trying them at home.

Which look did I select in the end? I was eyeing the knitted loose yarn skirt for the longest time but in the end I went for hippie bohemian pants in green!
