TOPSHOP Reclaim To Wear Third Capsule Collection
High street chains, one of the most environmentally toxic businesses in the industry, are all pushing their own line of green clothing. It seems to be a shopping trend now and shoppers are constantly on the look out for upcycled items that look just like their regular pieces.
After H&M’s Conscious Collection, Topshop is launching their third capsule collection with partner Reclaim to Wear. Unlike H&M which uses technology to produce their upcycle items, Topshop’s green garments are made entirely from off cuts and end of roll fabric. The collection uses recycled silk and denim, as well as a series of distressed denim pieces.
Reclaim to Wear was founded by Italian born and London based ethical fashion designers Orsola de Castro and Filippo Ricci. The husband and wife duo provided Topshop with design solution to the problem of textile waste.
