Two Must-go Multi-label Boutiques in Bangkok
If going on holiday means a lot of shopping and eating for you, Bangkok is probably one of your favorite destinations. The countless shopping malls, markets, local labels are enough to feed anyone’s shopping appetite.
Personally I am a big fan of multi-label boutiques for the convenience of seeing designer labels from all over the world in one shop space. The trendier cooler ones in Bangkok carry everything from Scandinavian labels to American brands to homegrown designers. What’s unique about the Bangkok stores is that a lot of them champion the fashion-meets-art movement, curating interesting exhibitions and setting up hard-to-miss store windows.
1. Siwilai at Central Embassy Level 5
You might have read about Central Embassy Mall right here, if you are at the mall and wish to take a breather from the big international brands, pop by Siwilai at level 5. Occupying 826 square-meter of space, this modern day marketplace is the newest multi-label boutique in the scene having just turned 6 months old. Siwilai carries labels like Maison Kitsune, JW Anderson, We Are Handsome, plus a music station of indie records and a hip cafe Rocket x Siwilai.
2. Next To Normal at Central World Level 1, Atrium Zone
The store’s motto “We present culture, not just fashion” is apparent in their store displays and interior decor (they once had a bathroom for their VM). Artsy things aside, they bring in fashion brands that can’t be found anywhere else in Bangkok, like Maison Martin Margiela, Elizabeth and James and Band of Outsiders, plus a lot of the coolest collaborations and capsule collections.
