New In Town: Melissa collaborations to-DIE-for

Designer collaborations are EVERYTHING these days, but not many exciting ones actually make it to our shores. Eco-friendly jelly shoe brand Melissa, famous for their colorful and trendy styles, has just opened a brand new store at Basement 2 Wheelock place called MDreams. The 700 sqmstore space is fully stocked with their latest collabs with well known international designers like Pedro Lourenço and Jason Wu (Paris Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week darlings respectively), and also many other ranges like MZero (for men), Mini Melissa (for kids), Refraction bags, Melissa Rainbow series plus a lot more.

I’m a follower of Melissa collab pieces (see these Gareth Pughs), and I have to say seeing the Pedro Lourenço shoes up close – they are really to-DIE-for and uber desirable. There’s something really sexy about the ankle strap heels and the ombre flats. On another hand, Jason Wu’s Melissa collaboration is more girly with the shoe string, soft colours and the lace-y details. The Artemis shoe string sandal goes for S$100.00 and the lace flats at $135.00, pop by MDreams at #B2-03 Wheelock Place for a visit if you happened to go through the Wheelock-Shaw tunnel at Orchard Road.
