Local menswear spotlight
Maybe about one or two years ago Singaporean male shoppers can complain about a lack of decent menswear pieces from local designers at reasonable price. The selection that we have here is either too expensive or not suitable for Singapore weather or deemed too ‘loud’ for local dressing. Then Parco NEXT next stepped into the picture and right now if you are looking for a good tailored shirt or a nice pair of pants designed locally, you have three labels to choose from, right at one place, easy breezy. The good thing about the trio is that they have pretty different aesthetics that appeal to different categories of male shoppers. A cardi at AKA Wayward costs S$89 and a shirt at WanderWonder starts from S$109, Coupe-Cousu ranges around S$100-S$599 (a jacket), all pretty reasonable if you compare this to the Comme Des Garcons or the Raf Simons you can find.
Here are some lookbook images from the three menswear labels, all can be found at Parco NEXT next at 9 Raffles Boulevard, level 2, Millenia Walk. Some of them are stocked at Blackmarket at Orchard Central and TANGS as well. Check them out!
