Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful 2013

The trick to achieving the no makeup makeup look – is to just go by Bobbi Brown, champion of the au natural, rosy-cheek look. For Spring 2013, Bobbi Brown has came up with a new series of collections that will continue to build on the barefaced chic formula the brand is known for.

Taking on this season’s prettiest trend is the “Lilac Rose”, the so mismatching-that-it-matches “Pink & Red” collection and the new long wear cream eye shadow sticks that Katie Holmes is a spokesperson of (there can’t be a more suitable celebrity for Bobbi Brown than Katie, period). My favourite out of the bunch – the “Brighten, Sparkle and Glow” collection has a new shade called Gold Star – check them out here:

Brighten, Sparkle & Glow

I’ve seen makeup artists patting shimmery eye shadow over the eye area for runway shows, and the models give off a really fresh, healthy look (think Stella McCartney’s shows by Pat McGrath). Nothing illuminates the face like a little shimmer at the right areas with the right products.

Shades: Gold Star, Silver Moon, Ballet Pink, Mica, Cement, Black Chocolate ($46) in stores February 2013.

Pink & Red

Playing on two colours that don’t seem to go together, pink and red, the experimental collection is perfect for Valentine’s Day. Super flirty and girly, the mismatching color palette actually works and is pretty eye-catching. My pick: the sheer color tint (S$39) that makes your cheeks look flushed.
“Pink & Red” is available in stores from April 2013.

Lilac Rose

This collection is Bobbi’s take on spring florals, creating a super fresh, modern look that is on trend with the new season. The star of the collection is the eye palette which features eight eye shadows in flattering dusty pinks, heather greys & lily shades that effortlessly complement all skin tones ($99)
“Lilac Rose” is available in stores from April 2013.

Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick

Made for the modern woman on the go, the shadow stick ($45) is light but high impact, and it lasts. This do-it-all formula glides on tug-free and can be used to shade, define, smoke up and highlight eyes. Katie Holmes stars in the campaign for this new collection, wearing the classic smokey eye look.
“Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick” is be available in all stores from March 2013.
