Yulia is most probably this season’s top catwalker. Liu Wen’s list is impressive too, best showlist by an asian since Hye Park. Right now Liu is having a monopoly of the asian models market. If shows need just one asian model, they are more likely to go with her. If they need someone quirky, then it’s Tao Okamoto. As for Jourdan, she managed to walked for shows like Gucci, Chanel and Rue du Mail (first black model for the brand), another season of break-throughs, great for her.

Doing the most shows don’t really mean anything to their status unless the following campaign season rolls out well. Veterans like Raquel, Natasha and Lily might have walked only around 35-45 shows this season but their selection is more about quality than quantity. Some new models were arranged by the agency to do only the best two or three shows in a certain capital, which I think would leave more impression than doing everything from Barbie’s 50th Anniversary to Blugirl.
