Peter Copping coming to Singapore for Fashion Talks
The very first session of Fashion Talks Singapore will be happening on 5th April at LASALLE College Of The Arts, with Nina Ricci‘s Creative Director Peter Copping on the panel.
If “Fashion Talks” sounds familiar to you, it’s actually renowned fashion & art curator Pamela Gobin‘s project, which has been around for six years. She launched the series in New York with the concept of bringing together leading fashion designers to share their views on fashion via live interviews in front of students, professionals and fashion enthusiasts. Past participating designers have included Marc Jacobs, Olivier Theyskens, Donna Karan, Diane von Furstenberg, Stefan Pilati and others. The thought of “In Conversation with Peter Copping” might freak some fashion followers out, given how huge the designer is in Paris. The 45 year old designer worked under Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton for a dozen years before becoming Nina Ricci’s designer in 2010, taking over from Olivier Theyskens. It’s been three years so far and his work at Ricci has been garnering a lot of positive reviews from the critics and fashion watchers.
Peter Copping will also be showcasing his collection at the Passion Ball 10th Anniversary on April 6, in support of Food from the Heart charity.
