“Lost in Fashion” – Liu Bolin for Harper’s BAZAAR

The big league designers must be really busy preparing for the Fall collection, but a few of them actually took time out for the Harper’s Bazaar editorial “Lost in Fashion” working with chinese artist Liu Bolin aka the Invisible Man. Can you imagine these MAJOR fashion designers who are busy of course, super glamourous, fabulous etc and then in the name of art – getting some dirty wet paint slapped all over their faces and hair (which will probably ruin their facial from last week or something).

But the results are pretty brilliant, it’s funny to see those designers having fun and going out of their way for this. A little part of me wished that Karl had been painted into some quilted thing or a tweed jacket, wouldn’t that be funny too?

The names in this editorial include Alber Elbaz of Lanvin, Jean Paul Gaultier, Maria Grazia Chiuri & Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino and Angela Missoni. Watch a behind the scenes video of the shoot “Lost in Fashion” here.
