Get to know Cara Delevigne, the new face of Burberry
Burberry Prorsum’s latest Spring/Summer 2011 campaign stars a relatively new face – 18 year-old Cara Delevigne as the only girl, with male model Jacob Young. Jourdan Dunn was rumoured to be in the campaign, so imagine the collective gasp and ‘who’s Cara?’ questions popping up when the images were unveiled.
Here are four facts about Cara:
1) Fashion runs in the family – her mother, Pandora Stevens, is the Head of Personal Shopping at the Selfridges department store.
2) Poppy Delevigne, who is a New York-based socialite and model who frequently attends fashion events, openings and parties, is Cara’s big sister. She brought her to Robert Pattinson’s ‘Remember Me’ film premiere last March in London.
3) According to a LOVE magazine feature last year, Cara is a drama student, which means she might become one of those model-turn-actresses in future.
4) Her agency is Storm Model Management which famously discovered and subsequently signed Kate Moss in 1988. The current board of models include Alexa Chung, Lily Cole and Emma Watson.
Cara Delevigne sat front row at the recent Burberry menswear F/W 11/12 show with George Craig (Emma Watson’s ex). Can we say she looks all grown up and very gorgeous in head-to-toe Burberry? Watch out for more of Cara!
