Current Obsession: The Haunted Man – Bat for Lashes

I discovered Bat for Lashes when the singer Natasha Khan appeared on the cover of Dazed and Confused in February 2009, photographed by Rankin. Everyone can be a good musician but to have enough x-factor to appear on a prominent fashion/culture magazine is another story. Natasha was rocking this boho-look in the first two albums, she never seemed to be running out of interesting headbands and face paint. Fast forward to 2012 , the singer just got more stylish with a chic bob and quirkier dress sense.

The Guardian UK has praised BFL’s latest album as “Khan’s strongest yet”, “an assured and sonically seductive record”. Don’t you agree? These days you can never get enough of inventive pop electronics and way-too-cool collaborators (Portishead’s Adrian Utley!). Check out some of her latest release at BFL’s Vevo page here.

Bat For Lashes will be performing in Singapore at the St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival at the Meadow at Gardens by the Bay. Get your tickets to the indie music festival here.
