Opening the Marc Jacobs Spring 09 show worked magic for her. I am slightly ashamed to not know about this amazing model before that show. She was his fit model and Marc personally requested for her to open the show. But actually, she has been around since 2000, took a break a few years earlier to focus on her music and now she is making a huge comeback.

…and even though she hardly appears on the runway these days, she has been a fixture at Ann Demeulemeester shows. Jamie has that something that really suits her aesthetics.

I noticed that in most the editorials, Jamie is looking just like herself, no extreme makeover added, it looks like the shoot is designed for her. She has a very interesting look, very rock-star and sometimes mannish.  The sternness might scare you off at first because she is definitely not your typical cute pretty looking model on the runway, but she is someone that has character and incredibly edgy and unique. In a few words… modern day heroin chic.
