Quantcast

African Queen

Written By on Feb 18th, 2009

This season, going tribal, ethnic-chic is clearly a huge trend in the collections . Many magazines covers, editorials have been interpreting that trend… but you have to let Alek Wek to show you how it is done.

Sometimes, it has to be realistic. When you put a white girl on a cover trying to be African-chic, it is just not as tasteful, and original as this (take that, Vogue Nippon). There are even cases where they would rather dye  a white model black for an editorial instead of using a black model. Case in point here.
