Singapore Cocktail Festival 2017
The ultimate playground for cocktail fans.
Happening from 16 to 21 March, the space at 99 Beach Road will be occupied by Singapore Cocktail Festival, a celebration of cocktails boasting 40 participating bars and many fringe activities & events surrounding it. It’s truly a playground for people who enjoys a fine cocktail as the best of bartending talents from all around the world and local will be there showcasing their skills and creations. The entry to the festival is free and drinks are going at around $12-$14, with happy hour prices starting at $20 for 2 cocktails.
In the tasting room, indie alcohol brands will be presenting their line-up and allowing tastings. Some of the really interesting obscure brands include Nusa Cana which is hailed from Bali and Paper Lantern (Singapore based but produced in Chiang Mai) that has Si Chuan flavoured gin.
The Asia Bar Battle has one of the best energy in the village with teams of bartenders from 9 countries around the region facing off each other in a battle. The final knock-out round will be held on Sunday, 19 March 2017, and the contending team with the most number of cocktails sold and best entertains the audience will emerge the champion.
Brands like Snow Leopard Vodka also has a presence in the festival with a wall of herbs for people to forage and get their cocktail customised according to what they picked.
