Hermès Leather Forever Exhibition 25 October – 13 December 2015
Be immersed in the wonderful world of Hermès Leather.
After traveling to several cities including Hong Kong (check out my write-up here), Singapore is the next stop. The exhibition, which is free admission for the public, will be running from 25th October to 13th December at ArtScience Museum Marina Bay Sands.
Celebrating Hermès’ relationship with leather, the first material tamed by the house, the Leather Forever exhibition takes the visitor on a poetic journey exploring Hermès’ love of this fine material, presenting items from Hermès’ past as well as some of its latest creations. Craftsmen from the Hermès workshops in Paris will be present to demonstrate the art of leather working by creating some of its iconic bags on site.
As a prelude to the exhibition, guests are invited to embark on their journey with Little Room of Wanders at the historic Asian Civilisations Museum. This extract of objects from the Emile Hermès museum in Paris’ Faubourg Saint-Honoré brings a little piece of the heart of Hermès to Singapore in honour of the 50th anniversary of the country’s independence.
To celebrate the exhibition, Hermès has created five Kellydoll bags in honour of each decade of Singapore’s independence.
Don’t miss the leather spectacular from the storied French house!
