Emilio Pucci Spring/Summer 2011 show at Velvet Underground
Just a few weeks ago, Emilio Pucci presented its latest Spring/Summer collection at a cosy setting at Velvet Underground. The Italian brand is stocked at Takashimaya’s International Collection section at level two, and have amassed a huge following thanks to the iconic prints, sexy silhouette and flirty frocks.
We are lucky to be able to see Peter Dunda’s work for Pucci up-close without having to fly to Milan, the show used the same music, hair and make-up! The key looks from the collection were shown – backless mini dresses that made the crowd go crazy, long flowy gowns with frills and a kaleidoscope of prints – and some of the accessories are included as well. The looks have an unmistakable Mediterranean vibe, all sea blues and spice colors – “Bohemian beachcomber done luxe” is how the designer himself described it back in September last year, and we can’t agree more!
