Calamity

Written By on May 29th, 2009

In the latest news of what the bad economy is eating off: Christian Lacroix just filed for bankruptcy (BUT the show will go on, just a smaller scale presentation in the upcoming couture fashion week), Veronique Branquinho is closing and now let’s look at the main editorial from the last issue of Mixte— ‘Medusa’ ph by Xevi Muntane, featuring Missy Rayder.

Lacroix has NEVER really made money in the 3 decades or so that it’s been in business. It has always run in the RED so the bankruptcy is no surprise.

Branquinho’s bankruptcy was a surprise. But it’s a small business compared to Chanel and LV, so a slight downturn in the economy can do a lot of damage.

As for the Missy Rayder editorial for Mixte, they made her look really old in the photos. She is a beautiful girl and this editorial doesn’t do her justice.

Apparently Emma Cook had also folded.
