4 Christmas Markets To Go This Weekend
How to ace your last minute Christmas shopping.
If proximity is key to sweeping all gift options in no time, there are four Christmas markets worth visiting this weekend from 19-20 December. The malls will be packed, the choices are limited, but you can always count on flea markets for something quirky and unique like local crafts and handmade items.
Check out these 4 markets within the downtown central area:
PUBLIC GARDEN AT F1 PIT BUILDING
Known for their curation of quality vendors, Public Garden will be bringing together independent local businesses with unique merchandise for their Christmas edition. Industries include design, art, fashion, vintage, beauty products, publishing and more.
Besides seeing the magnificent, ultra Instagram-worthy festive lights in real-life, new this year at the tourist attraction is the all-new carnival rides and Ice Palace, as well as the return of a European-style Festive Market. Opens from 4-11PM, and after dark for the best time to see the lights of course.
MAKERS’ MARKET AT NATIONAL MUSEUM OF SINGAPORE
Occasionally housed at the first level of TripleOne Somerset, Makers’ Market is out this weekend at National Museum of Singapore from 12-6PM as an open flea market. Another place to get your fix for local handcrafts and treats. Shop everything from jewellery, cakes and cards in one place at the heart of town. Check out some snaps of the sellers on their Instagram here.
CHIJMES CHRISTMAS MARKET
Don’t miss the chance to shop specially curated European goods at the Christmas market at CHIJMES which also extends from the lawn and into the hall on Christmas eve. The market, located at the lawn, is opened until 24th December 2015, weekdays 6pm-11pm and weekends 12pm-11pm.
