The Reckless Shop, Blackmarket and Elohim 3-in-1 Orchard Central opening
What can be a better combination than having three local fashion boutiques (adjacent to each other!) at one location? Such unique combo has finally appeared at Orchard Central (the next IT shopping mall) where it houses The Reckless Shop, Blackmarket No.2 and Sabrina Goh. A party was held two Thursdays ago to launch the official opening of all three boutiques and here’s a sneak peek.
The Reckless Shop is known for its minimalistic setting with a touch of nature. Their newest S/S Collection 2011, Fleur de Sel features timeless and elegant women’s wear and also a versatile men’s wear range. The artificial turf is definitely a hit; walking in a garden and shopping at the same time certainly induces us to purchase a couple more pieces! The boutique also houses Escapism, Brit Kid goes to India and ODDS by Reckless Ericka.
Blackmarket No.2 plays with lots of square wooden shelves and funky black racks that showcase geometric pieces by Nixon Marquez, arty-farty T-shirts by Terawat Teankaprasith, punk rock chic looks by AL&ALICIA (review on their latest collection here) and a lot more! Don’t forget to check out a montage of a old school signs specially hand-painted by Mark Ong (SBTG) when you make your payment at the cashier.
Sabrina Goh‘s all white boutique serves as a canvas for her label ELOHIM, presenting its latest looks inspired by the concept metaphor of Camouflage in both the urban and natural environment. The collection plays with stripes and lines to create visual patterns and, angular cuts and draping folds to flatter the curves of the human body with various muted colours white, pink, brown, grey and black. Available also, are sleek and modern accessories by homegrown designer, L’ile aux Ashby.
