Uniqlo & Coca Cola T-Shirt Design Competition

Just a few days ago Uniqlo has launched its 8th annual, world-famous, T-shirt design program. The program is called the Uniqlo UT Grand Prix and it aims to unearth the next generation of graphic and fashion designers. Coca-Cola has been named as this year’s partner due to its design legacy spanning 125 years, including Warhol’s work around the famous contoured bottle true to the iconic Coca-Cola logo itself. Budding designers you are encouraged to send in your t-shirt designs using T-shirts as a blank canvas and conjure up and create designs inspired by the giant beverage brand.

The winning ten t-shirt designs will appear in-store in Spring 2012, including the new New York-based global flagship, opening fall 2011 on 5th Avenue. For last year, which had Disney as its main theme, offered a grand prize of US$10,000 and a trip for two to Disneyland.

Fans of Uniqlo and Coca-Cola can vote for their favorite design online at the campaign website, uniqlo.com/ut/utgp/us/. The contest closes September 12th.
