Call us morbid, but we at RTT believe that art should never be sequestered in a box. That is precisely why we are drawn to James Reynolds’ interpretation of the last meals of death row inmates. A graphic designer based in London, Reynolds created the photographic series which he aptly named “Last Suppers.”
Through this series of photographs, Reynolds has managed to lend an ounce of humanity to American death row inmates, many of whom would have otherwise been remembered as beasts. This simplistic, and somewhat trivial presentation of food manages to highlight that last flicker of enjoyment these inmates received before facing their ultimate fate.
