“I have nothing in common with this new world of fashion, which has been reduced to mere window-dressing. Elegance and beauty have been banished.”

…Very sad news, A YSL retrospective just started at the Musée des beaux-arts in Montreal.

Haha! That penis-bride is brilliant! One of my earliest fashion memories is being bored to death by his couture shows on TV. Honest to God, those were the pits! (At least in the 90s.)

I think Yves made a good point though. Fashion has changed so much in the 90’s it is more about money than about real beauty and elegance. Though people think all this fake glamour is named style these days.

Farewell Yves and the end of an important era in fashion.

Yves is amazing I will miss him dearly, and poor Stefano, too much responsibility………..

This is really the end of an era.

  • Kielo

In those hideous couture shows there were tons of outfits that copied Picassos` paintings, just by throwing a skewed profile on the garment. No Beauty let alone Elegence.

I don`t know when he really was relevant, and when he went senile, but it`s probably been decades.

I love that Le Smoking photo. It’s over 40 years old but yet still so contemporary. He was a genius.

I love the photos that you choose 🙂

Yves was indeed one of the best !

I bet he is now taking a cofee with Coco Chanel and Christian Dior 🙂
