Burberry reaches three million fans on Facebook





Burberry has reached three million fans on Facebook – the highest number of fans for any luxury fashion brand. To celebrate and mark this milestone, Christopher Bailey has designed a cool creative to thank the fans with a personal note from him.

It took Burberry 1 year to reach 1 million fans, 6 months to reach 2 million fans and just one more to reach 3 million. At press time, four days after the announcement, another 180,000 users had ‘liked’ the Burberry Facebook page.

It is notable that the most recent post of Burberry Christmas gifts ideas which links back through to Burberry.com is the most shared album that Burberry has posted and due to the time of year – Thanksgiving and Christmas – this is driving a lot of growth to the number of fans sharing the images and commenting to and with their friends. Some posts on the Burberry facebook page can reach up to 16,000 comments and feedbacks.

With this milestone, the iconic British brand is set to be a true front-runner in digital marketing in the fashion world.
