US Vogue The September Issue 09 editorial review
Written By Laila Lu on Aug 18th, 2009Only 584 pages in total, a lot of Karlie and Liya. Mert & Marcus, Meisel and Steven Klein shot for this issue,
‘Into the Woods’ (re-uploaded with HQs)
Natalia Vodianova ph by Mert & Marcus.
Looks a little bit like the editorial with Doutzen Kroes in W August 2007 of the same title, that one focusing on fur. Here Natalia is acting as little red riding hood, wearing mainly red pieces from the Fall season.
‘Top coats’
Karlie Kloss ph by David Sims
‘In the mood’
Viktoriya Sasonkina, Sasha Pivovarova, Coco Rocha, Karen Elson & Liya Kebede ph by Steven Meisel.
And this reminds me of the ‘Paris Je T’aime’ editorial exactly two years ago (that mega 840 pages issue).
‘Tonight’s the Night’
ph by Patrick Demarchelier
‘I, Karlie’
ph by Annie Leibovitz
Works well as an explanation why Vogue is so obssessed with her!

“She’s an amazing model. She knows clothes. She has tons of energy. She will add things to the shoot that I would never have thought of. She thinks from the point of view of an editor and of a photographer, not just that of a model.” — Steven Meisel on Karlie Kloss.
‘Take Cover’
Caroline Trentini, Karlie Kloss ph by Steven Kleim
‘Strong Suits’
Liya Kebede ph by Craig McDean
‘Steal of the Month’
Jourdan Dunn ph by Norman Jean Roy
