Powers of Seduction: The Spirit of Mad Men

Emmy Award winning drama Mad Men is known to be one of the most fashionable show on television. The style and trends from the Mad Men era are the latest phenomenon to hit the Fall season, serving as a source of inspiration to both designers and photographers. People are intrigued by the old glamour of the series, which covers the early 60s pre hippy era, when dressing is still formal and the classic feminine shape of the fifties is still in vogue. One of the most prominent silhouettes on the Fall runways as previously reported was the empire waist dress with a full circle skirt, which flaunts a women’s figure. Could Mad Men be responsible for the return of curvy models as well?

The series has inspired this studio spread in Telegraph UK. Photographed by Sofia & Mauro, it stars Karlie Kloss as a seductress wearing pieces from Prada, Louis Vuitton and Dolce & Gabbana.
