Dazed & Confused’s take on High Fashion Trash
The reuse-recyclable-materials concept in fashion magazines has been done over and over by many magazines through out the years. Now let’s see what Dazed & Confused has came up with taking ordinary objects and crafting them into couture-like images in “Modern Life Is Rubbish”. The unconventional shoot is photographed by the legendary Paolo Roversi, who’s a veteran in artistic couture shoots, and the styling is done by the newly appointed fashion director Robbie Spencer. Part of the shoot is apparently inspired by the PUNK: Chaos to Couture exhibition at New York’s MET museum.
It’s nice to see the “recycle materials” not being too in your face and paired tastefully with all these expensive clothes. Getting Paolo to shoot definitely added some haute factor in and it’s great to see him working with Dazed! Which is your favourite image?
