Brunch Brasserie-style at The Disgruntled Brasserie





Here’s what it feels like to be dining at the ultra chic brasserie by The Disgruntled Chef.

Nestled within the ground level of The Club Hotel on 28 Ann Siang Road, The Disgruntled Brasserie, just as the name said it, is a French-style casual restaurant with classic and modern European dishes designed by newly-appointed Chef de Cuisine, Desmond Goh. Weekend brunch options are aplenty in Singapore but this brasserie, with its elaborate setting and carefully curated 6 course set is making it very hard to not make a reservation for weekend brunch.



Salt Baked Beetroot Smoked Burrata


As part of the menu, you get four signature small plates, a choice of one large plate, and a choice of dessert. Small plates include crowd-pleasers like the Salt-Baked Beetroot & Smoked Burrata, Foie Gras & Peanut Butter Miso, Gruyere Cheese Souffle and Boston Lobster Bisque.





For the large plates, you can choose one out of four available options, which include the Pan Roasted Barramundi, Coq Au Vin, Carbonara Taglierini and Vongole. I am a vegetarian and therefore got a Jamon Serrano & Roasted Cauliflower with Romesco sauce, Manchego cheese, Jamon Serrano… it was delicious, never knew a simple vegetable can be part of a fine dining menu. Desserts are a choice between the Apple Tarte Tatin, “Bailey ​’​ s ​”​ Creme Caramel, and Broken Lemon Tart.





Launched just last week, the six-course weekend brunch menu is priced at $48++ per pax. You can also add $38++ per pax to enjoy free-flow prosecco, wine, beer and juices!
