40 Photos of Art Stage Singapore 2015
The art world descended upon Singapore today for the annual Art Stage Singapore. In short, it’s an exhibition with participating galleries from all over the world and it happens every year in January at Marina Bay Sands convention centre. This is their 5th edition and currently it showcase 152 galleries from 27 countries, with 70% from Asia Pacific region. Even though the price tags for the art pieces are sky high, each year it still attracts a fairly high volume of visitors. Hey, admiring art with a glass of wine is a thing. You can also play the “it’s-so-deep-I-don’t-understand” game with the displaying art work.
Maybe because it’s SG50, there’re a lot of art work that are super localized, think tons of Lee Kuan Yew portraits and there’s even a Singapore flag made up of glasses.
Check out some 40 photos taken from the preview session today. The exhibition will be opened to public from tomorrow Thursday 22 January till Sunday 25 January. Tickets are priced at $32 for a one-day pass and $64 for 4 day pass. For more information, visit www.artstagesingapore.com
