Hermès Leather Forever Exhibition at PMQ Hong Kong
A must-visit if you are in Hong Kong these two weeks – the Hermès Leather Forever exhibition at PMQ in Central. This pop-up exhibition is perfect for fans of the french brand and leather craftsmanship.
Having made stops at Shanghai, Rome, London, Madrid and previously Taipei in June, the exhibition is now in Hong Kong all the way until 28th September.
Housed in several colorful shipping containers stacked together, the two-story exhibition space invites you to discover the world of Hermès leather, with a huge display of bags from its archives and also an artisan on site giving live demonstrations of making the bags. It takes about 2 days to create an Hermès Birkin by hand and when asked if the ones produced during the exhibition will be for sale, a representative said “No, because they will be Made in Hong Kong!”.
Find out more about the exhibition on lfe.hermes.com/hk. Admission is free and it opens from 11am to 8pm daily (go earlier in the morning and during weekdays to avoid the crowds!). Check out some photos from the exhibition in Hong Kong here.
