Alber once mentioned that he will not do a second line (because “no one wants to be the stepsister”) and the most recent collaboration linked to Lanvin is Acne, but he seems to have a change of mind about fast fashion, that it’s “H&M going luxury” instead of “Lanvin going Public”.

If you are worried about not getting a piece of Lanvin x H&M when it debuts worldwide on 23 November, note that there might be a possibility the store is launching its first e-commerce site in September.

The first issue of W under a new editorial direction of Stefano Tonchi (formerly of T) featured eight up and coming actresses — Kat Dennings, Jessica Chastain, Yaya DaCosta, Greta Gerwig, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Roberts, and Zoe Kravitz in a triple page fold out cover photographed by Inez & Vinoodh. The revamp also came with a new logo and a new tagline — “it’s not just women’s fashion, but the world of style and, more exactly, our five Ws: the who, the what, the where, the when and the why in the world of style”; and a new direction — “It’s more about fashion in the context of contemporary culture.”

Donatella should give January Jones a Versace campaign already, faithfully wearing one Versace stunner after another (she wore Versace Atelier to last year’s Emmys too), the Mad Men actress totally stole the spotlight at The Emmys last night in the Spring ‘10 Aterlier piece. Apparently, January had decided on what to wear weeks before the ceremony as she “fell in love with a dress I saw in a magazine and the designer is nice enough to loan it to me. Comfort in these dresses is not an option. As long as it looks good, I’ll suck it up. I like to take risks, so I try to shock people a little bit. Not so much though.”

Don’t you just love an actress who takes risks on the red carpet?

Vogue Paris September 2010

The French actress and Dior muse might have been photographed for a lot of magazines and campaigns these years, but there is something about her cover editorial for the September issue of Vogue Paris that is particularly intriguing. The mood and the lighting gives a sense of mystery, Marion perfectly exudes an aura of seductress/femme fatale in the make-up (bleached brows, crimson lips) and styling.

The Mulberry team from UK flew in to Singapore for the presentation + party at Tanjong Beach Club on Wednesday, and the special guest that had people stalking is none other than TV personality/Vogue UK cover girl/new minted designer (Madewell)/Mulberry muse — Alexa Chung. Although her visit to Singapore is seemingly low profile, Alexa was friendly when approached for pictures, and in a pretty good mood the entire night.

Eco Art International made its debut in Singapore with its Una Energy & Farjam Collection at the Eco Art Parade of Jewellery exhibition, brought to ION Orchard by The Canary Diamond and Matthew Campbell Laurenza’s MCL.

His Serene Highness Albert II of Monaco was the special guest in attendance, the Eco Art Parade is actually a fundraising initiative that supports his foundation in which he is the president.

Singapore is the first city to host the exhibit after Monaco on 29 July, and on 28 August this exquisite collection will nest on Level One of ION Orchard for a two week exhibition to the public.

The highly anticipated Sanrio x Dr. Martens Limited Edition boots will be launched in Singapore this coming 1st September 2010, in conjunction with Dr. Martens’ 50th Anniversary celebrations.

The editorial is as regal as it can be, sans the usual high fashion/explicit daring images that spells Vogue Paris, it was more about her face than her body or clothes. She was also the guest editor of the issue. With her strong sporty looks, there is no wonder that the fashion world is fascinated by her.
