The death of Alexander McQueen is beyond sadness. He is an iconic figure who is truly inspiring and influential to the fashion world. It is a tragic loss, and as an audience, a fashion follower, the fact of a Paris Fashion Week without his presence, the drama and the artistry of his shows, it felt as if there is a huge hole drilled into the usual anticipation of the fashion month. And it gets even more painful to know that this sense of loss will be forever, and be reminded of in the future fashion weeks.
Some of my favourite McQueen moments: Shalom Harlow getting splashed by paint and the hologram of Kate Moss.
I hope that he found the peace that he was looking for and he will be greatly missed.
