Favourite Resort 2013 collections
Resort 2013 is one of the most enjoyable seasons, maybe because I live in a country with no winter, resort/cruise is always a delightful season to look at and the easiest to relate to. The clothes are more likely less dramatic, as the designers don’t design for the runway but for real business.
Here are my picks: Suno (above), the New York-based label now onto their third Resort season, has rolled out quite a huge range of Pre-Spring pieces, with some strong individual looks that are chockfull of lines, patterns and florals brilliantly mixed and perfectly paired. Peter Pilotto on the other hand went all out loud and bold – layers and layers of different prints in super intense, high-contrast colors in each look, it’s almost like a visual orgasm. I like how they didn’t go the conservative route and made a memorable collection instead. Lastly, who can forget about Dion Lee‘s futuristic collection? I totally fell in love with it after seeing the details on Style Bubble. Dion Lee is crazy talented isn’t he?
