Proenza Schouler Fall/Winter 13/14

Each time I browse through a new Proenza Schouler collection, it’s difficult not to be impressed by the brand’s consistency. They have a strong DNA that flows through from one season to the next and they simply make clothes that are difficult not to like.

While critics are divided on some designers this season, Proenza Schouler is one fashion darling that almost never receive bad press. Everyone gets floored by the clothes and accessories instantly.

This Fall/Winter 13/14 collection, I thought it look more Balenciaga-ready than Alexander Wang’s. Maybe Wang is trying to distant its own brand from his new gig. Proenza’s ultra modern and sleek collection included silhouettes that resemble Cristobal Balenciaga’s work (the seamless curve at the shoulders and the bias cut). The overall cutting is very flattering for a winter collection, which is usually huge on thicker fabrics. Lastly, really love the pointy toe kitten heels on the models, classy!
