Copenhagen Fashion Week S/S 2015 – Henrik Vibskov
There this saying where you leave the best to the last. That was what happened during Copenhagen Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015 which just wrapped up last Thursday and I was able to catch a few shows while I’m #ScandiTrippin.
Henrik Vibskov closed the three-day event with an epic show at Papirøen (“Paper Island”), an industrial area with huge empty warehouses. In fact, it is so huge that there was still plenty of space after building a pool and a few rolls of seats. The pool was where the action began, dancers from Norwegian National Ballet strolled onto the water with gentle, elegant moves that slowly escalated to water whipping dramatic movements. All that happening while the show was going on (will talk about the clothes later). You can see the slightly disturbed expressions on the front row people’s faces, most of them got a little wet but I bet they didn’t mind a single bit at all. You are sitting front row at the most coveted show of Copenhagen Fashion Week that was completed packed, you wouldn’t mind if it meant being drenched in pool water.
While fighting not to get distracted by the dancers, there are a few looks that are note-worthy. This dress on the left is a complete work of art, a definite show stopper. It takes quite a genius to produce something of that scale.
