Christophe Lemaire and Hermès Part Ways
After five years taking the creative helm at Hermès, Besançon-born French designer Christophe Lemaire is departing the luxury brand, choosing to focus on his growing eponymous label. Before Hermès, Christophe was previously the creative director of Lacoste.
In Singapore you may be familiar with the Christophe Lemaire label when it was stocked at multi-label boutique Front Row (which has recently ceased carrying the brand). Christophe’s signature minimalist, clean and low-key aesthetics has won many fans all over the world and with his focus now 100% on building his own business, there can only be bigger things to come.
His last collection for Hermès will be Spring/Summer 2015 which will be shown at Paris Fashion Week this Fall.
