Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2011 shoes – it’s punk chic!

For the first time in 12 years, Nicholas Ghesquière used flat shoes on the runway over the usual fare of 5-inch killers for the Spring/Summer 2011 show. What do you think of Balenciaga gone practical? The futurism-loving house has churned out a range of boots that look like a hybrid of Dr Martens and a helmet – slick and shiny – and also leather loafers and sandals with lots of fringe.
