Moncler spectacle Fall ’10

Written By Laila Lu on Jan 20th, 2010

I wrote about the Moncler Gamme Bleu presentation last season when they presented the collection by the pool, models walked by the poolside as the runway, some dived into the water… Moncler is one of those shows that really put up a show, a production. While the clothes are still the main focus, you can’t help but be in awed at the amount of creative juices the team (Moncler’s proprietor Remo Ruffini, creative director Thom Browne, showman Étienne Russo and musician Michel Gaubert) put together to make the show work. Look at the synchronicity and imagine the amount of rehearsals and preparations behind the scene.

The theme this time is military, started with models lying on camp beds, patrolled by officers. A trumpet sounded the beginning and the models rose, dressed themselves in their looks and then stood to attention at the foot of their beds. The patrolling officers inspected the outfits and one by one the models went off on their way around the catwalk and back to their original position. 2. Yes i remember, that was for his own label, also involved synchronized movements.
