I find Prada this season a little disappointing, given how stunning was last season’s with the seven girls. But the casting is fantastic as always— Kendra Spears is heading the title role with shots for eyewear all going to her solo. Ymre, Katlin and Anna are predictable but Julia is definitely a hot shot, her natural red hair already suiting the colours of the collection to bits. As mentioned always, starting with anything Prada is just gold.
One thing that I don’t like… the water. It’s very fake, in some shots it looks like a blurred zebra print carpet, like those in the new Cavalli ads. It’s obvious because the lighting/angle of the water and the models don’t even go together? (I am no photography expert but just saying.) The images end up looking awkward. Otherwise, the entire mood could have just been lifted out of the show, the hair, makeup and styling, plus the lighting that resembles the show itself. It’s a great concept and the boats are adorable… it’s just the water.
Miu Miu

Get use to a different kind of Miu Miu ads, no celebs, all individual (relatively unknown) model shots. It’s about time when celeb hype is not needed to pull attention to a certain collection, these are great enough.
Chloé
Kasia Struss, Sigrid Agren and Karlie Kloss ph by Mikael Janssen.
Bring Inez & Vinoodh back, Chloé ads were at their best under their lenses. Over-photoshopping, flashing too many ‘it’ bags doesn’t seen to relate much to Chloé’s aesthetics, it’s very commercial, and unnatural.
