Some people, fans of Vogue let say, can’t really accept Victoria Secret models, Sports Illustrated models, commercial models doing high fashion work. But sometimes, under the RIGHT styling/makeup and photography, they don’t look too bad. In recent months there are lot of Victoria’s Secret models venturing between high and commercial fashion. Alessandra Ambrosio had an editorial in Numéro Tokyo, Adriana Lima is confirmed for Givenchy Fall 09′ campaign and now Heidi Klum is back on Vogue Germany, looking more classy than anything, after six years.

SIX years.

Her last Vogue Germany cover, May 2003:

and she wasn’t on the cover of this ‘Made in Germany’ issue, Aug 2007:

But with this upcoming issue, they are dedicating it entirely to Heidi, some editorials are already up on the website vogue.de, you might want to check it out.

I always found Heidi Klum to be more high fashion than commercial but she switch quite effortlessly into the glamor side.

Adriana Lima, on the other hand, has the opposite look — totally glamor model but with the right make-up and hair, can do high fashion.

she does look good! and i like that vogue germany is giving her a chance to show what she can do other than prance around in her knickers and tell wannabe fashion designers that yesterday they were in and now they’re out so auf wiedersehan be bye kiss. and i think a lot of people tend to forget that the majority of VS models got their start in high fashion. i for one am looking forward to the results of the givenchy campaign!

The cover is pretty, but I do not think that she deserves an entire issue for herself….nevertheless, we have to wait and see the contents!

Who is the other model on the cover of the”Made In Germany” issue I can only tell Claudia and Julia.

  5. Laila says:

Nadja Auerman, the one who wored that stunning Lanvin to MET 09′!

Great cover. We love Heidi – she can rock the cover of Vogue and renew her vows at a white trash wedding in the same month! http://www.beautylabny.com/blog
