TOP 5 Favourite
Before showing you my list, I would like to clarify that personally, I am not really into femininity, and that’s why the collections that I picked can be slightly bias. Also, when I consider them as my favourite, it means the entire collection, from first to last look, are consistently A+.
1. Dries van Noten
This one came on top of my head when I was putting up the list. The collection is perfection in my book, the clothes are what I guess an everyday woman would wear— casual, smart and chic. I also like the way he promotes a unique look to the fashion crowd, he interprets dressing in a very different, interesting way. Not necessarily girly or androgynous, just… unique.
2. Haider Ackermann
This Spring a lot of houses had gone to the sexy side, even the most conservative of all would think of showing some skin. But I love the Ackermann sexy, the zippers, the high slits, chiffon, leather and draping.. everything mesh together so perfectly. I am wishing that he will get more editorial mention soon.
3. Yohji Yamamoto
My old soul comes out every time I see a Yohji collection. His usual androgynous, ‘old man’ like ladies suit might not be what a girl my age would wear. But I simply adore the cool vibe in his work. Moreover, he added in a lot of crisp white long dresses and printed dresses which I feel is something different from him, but still amazing no less.
4. Jil Sander

The clothes are what I can best describe— ”being sexy without trying too hard”. See those backless black dresses, genius fringe draping and low cut blazers then you might get what I mean.
5. Rodarte
Their shows always standout in NYFW. I simply admire their use of many different fabrics and the colours they used in this collection (think the finale gowns). Do check out the detail photos.
Which collections do you love/loathe?

Dries was very put together & gorgeous. Might be my #1 too. Miu Miu and Balenciaga are perhaps in my top 3 too.
