‘Alberta Ferretti Fall 08′
Photographed by Steven Meisel
First of all, great casting.
Siri Tollerod— My current fave alongside Edita V
Viktoriya Sasonkina— Hello new Stammie
Anna Jagodzinska— Didn’t notice her much but she rocked it here. Plus, killer cheekbones
Magdalena Frackowiak— Surprise inclusion? But at least it is not as random as BCBG’s Tanya, Serafima and Nicole.
Second, Steven Meisel for Alberta Ferretti is officially one of my favourite long-term collaborations ever. The Fall 07′ ones with Julia Stegner and Adina Folin was included in my Top Picks 2007 remember? It is definitely one of those campaigns (besides Lanvin) that Meisel gets to be the most artistic and imaginative.
Third, what an interesting location to choose from. The subway has been rather overused in editorials but I really like the contrast between the style of the brand and the mood here. I mean come on, which fashionista sleeps like that on the train?

What’s the matter with fashion and fashion photography of late? What’s the mood here? Are this drug (ab)users, are they that hungry that they can stand on their feet anymore the poor things?
I’m really worried about these mentality in fashion and related things to fashion.
Any commenters who can convince this is ‘beautiful’ and why? TIA!
Which other eds/ads have you seen lately are like what you are trying to say?
you are SO right. this ad hardly seems like Ferretti, more like Alexander Wang or something.
anyway, the close-up of the her new eyewear line; i nearly thought those were decapitated heads lying on a window display at first!
ooh i love the midnight blue shades
They resemble Dolce & Gabbana’s ads.
