This is definitely an edgier couture collection by Karl. The shapes and silhouettes are sharp and very structural (think a full back of roses) but other than that, it is pretty much the same stuff.

The frames distracted me a little. They make the dresses look very artistic but it reminds me of…

While the models were in flats for Spring/Summer 08′ couture, the transparent heels in this show looked really chic.

Karl must be loving the bob. He used it for resort and now couture. Maybe it’s because Anna Wintour is celebrating her 20th year at Vogue?

Lastly, Karl went out t0 thank the crowd with a bodyguard in tow, dressed in a suit and a yellow vest that he had once worn for a French road safety campaign…

But I would love to see him on the roadside!

Looking forward to JPG next!

Yes, well… Fashion is as fashion does…. What really is strange: where are the new hot models? Aline Weber, Natalia Chabanenko, Iris Strubegger, Abbey Lee, Anna Gushina …. I`m confused, are they yesterdays news, or shooting some really major editorials?
OK, Anna G. did 1 show…
This collection was marvellous. I’m not saying that the Dior wasn’t, but Karl did actually surprise me; he did something new. Usually I don’t get excited by Chanel Haute Couture, but this time I really am. The frames are very Martin Margiela, but all the pieces are exquisite. The cut was genius, the shapes were genius, the embellishments were genius. It was exquisite. I loved all the tubular shapes; this was definitely his best collection since Spring 07 prêt-a-porter.
transparent heels????! omg…….really cool…and yeah…very chic
