Speaking of Givenchy, I was quite confused with Riccardo Tisci’s first menswear collection. Sportswear, ombre, neon pink, lace, sharp suits, an America flag (?) … just too much going on.

I love Richard’s debut. He brought New York to Paris.

My favourite is definitely Raf Simons. The collection stood out for me because it is monochrome but has loads of details and yes, those jumpsuit— they somehow don’t look very feminine, which is good.

On the other side, I am rather disappointed with Dior Homme. This look above basically summed up all the reasons why I don’t like it.
Bring Hedi back please.

As feminizing men is a key trend for Spring, Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons did a whole range of men skirts. Guys, are you ready?

First, it was the men wedges at Fendi, and now, gladiator sandals at Louis Vuitton.

Three makes a trend. After Etro, Ann Demeulemeester and Yohji Yamamoto had cast old men to walk the runway. Wonder if there will be old ladies at the upcoming womenswear show…

So the OLDER males can be seen on the catwalks now? Great. Not real charmers but a good sign though or a one-day-hype? They can marry younger women too while we women seems to have ‘toyboys’ when we date or even marry younger men??? So now OLDER good looking women can be seen soon too on the catwalks or is fashion still going on to lean on the shoulders of vulnerable young girls?

I’m too old fashioned or a primitive woman I guess that I’m not really charmed by Raf Simons style…..brrrr…..

Like you said there was to much influences on Tisci collection… i was expecting something else.

There were older women for Yohji Yamamoto`s mens show in, was it F/W 98? Not sure of the season, but they wore the clothes (no males in the show at all).

Loved Raf`s opening outfit and the model! Other than that, not that much going on over all in Paris shows..

  4. GOD BRING HEDI BACK. That’s all, for Dior Homme.

BTW, aren’t we seeing loads of femininity in menswear recently? Which, tell me, is that androgyny taken to the next level or just that desingers now are getting gayer more ostentatiously?
