Ever since she became the face of L’Oreal, Dutch sweetie Doutzen Kroes has been keeping her work rate low. She hardly appears on the runways or magazine pages nowadays so it is good to see her again in this gorgeous editorial. I am keeping my fingers crossed that she will nab a major campaign for Fall 08′.
By the way, I was surprised that Karl actually shot this. The way the gowns are arranged to look like flowers are just so creative and the colours work well with the background. The lighter ones are very dreamy, they totally suit Doutzen.

Doutzen has been taking acting lessons and doing some TV work in Holland.Her mega contract with Loreal allows her to choose what she wants to do lucky girl.She’s rumuered about to sign a mega deal with Victoria’s Secret.She’s done everything already so why not do like Gisele.She’s going out with the son of a notorious Dutch film and TV producer.She seems happy.
Oh, she’s such a sweetie – miss her so much.
And I’m so surprised that Lagarfeld took those – the pictures are so refreshing and the gowns are arranged in such an interesting way. Makes Doutzen look like Thumbelina:)
Karl finally did something right, photography wise. I think he’s a great designer but not that great of a photographer.

Doutzen! I love her soo much the fashion magazines seems to be lonely without her. So glad to see her back after a while.
Doutzen hasn’t been seen on the catwalks for catwalk shows because she’s too curvy. She needed to lose weight for these shows which she doesn’t wanted. As she has declared herself in a travel tv programme. Well tv work? She has been only in a travel programme with Dutch actor Johnny de Mol (famous in the Netherlands) who travelled along Africa for some weeks and each week with another celeb among them Doutzen which was the best to watch. Without make-up, casually dressed and still looking gorgeous and above all sweet and intelligent Doutzen was great with the African people, played with the chimps and was fearless for gorilla’s. Johnny was very visible totally in love with her…..so cute….She has her L’Óreal Contract of course and will become a Victoria’s Angel. As she has said herself in that same programme. But Doutzen thinks their’s more to life than glamour and fame and told – a bit melancholic- that she has hardly a real social life. So she goes back home often. She wants more out of life than fame. She has also become Culture Ambassador for the region Fryslan, where she is from, because she has brought attention to that region in a positive way and was obviously honoured. That region has its own culture and even its own language. Not many Dutch does understand “Fries”. When a Fries speaks normal Dutch it has a great accent. If you Doutzen fans could only hear that…we do of course….A Fries is very much down to earth. The average Dutch does not know much about models. Lara Stone and some others? Who? But Doutzen? Who doesn’t know and love or doesn’t like Doutzen here in her own country? No diva allures for our Doutzen! That’s what we love her the most for…..
P.S. @ peek-a-boo Johnny de Mol (a very good actor btw) is the son of that notorious Dutch tv producer named John de Mol founder of “Big Brother” and other famous (and horrible) tv concepts. The romance with Johnny are only rumours until now….but they have been seen together…..
