Taking from the Forbes Top 15 richest models list, you can conclude that lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret does pay their models really well, so well that they can ignore their modelling career and depend on that one show plus catalogues for a living. Think Karolina Kurkova.
I don’t know what’s their criteria for model castings but I am really interested to see how 1) veteran models 2) trash-like bombshells 3) professional models, can be in the same show.
The debutants— Behati Prinsloo, Lindsay Ellingson, Michaela Kocianova and Elise Crombez. I could never never never get the picture that Behati is modelling for VS. Michaela is a surprise call too, but she looks good.
The modelling mums— Veteran Angela Lindvall and Heidi ‘I have three children’ Klum.
The missing ones— We hardly get to see Caroline Winberg, Eugenia Volodina, Marija Vujovic and Hana Soukupova on the fashion month runways (don’t you miss any of them?) and they just teased us with their VS appearance. Seriously, where are they now?
Caroline Trentini, Natasha Poly, Raquel Zimmermann and Doutzen Kroes were not in the show. Caroline chose to do US Vogue over VS while Natasha was shunned for being too skinny…

Heidi looks fabulous considering she had three kids — the last one less than 3 years ago.
I always found the VS fashion show to be a little too Playboy-ish, kinda skirting the line between classy and whorish; and target to the lowest common denominator.
i wish they would use plus-size models for these shows, why use skinny women with no curves to sell underwear to women? there’s nothing more gross than an anorexic model in g-string

i think ever since the show moved to los angeles the show has become less classy and high fashion and more hollywood commercial trash. dont get me wrong i mean the models still look great. its just the show puts more emphasis on the entertainment rather then the actual “fashion”. even the models, who in previous shows had more of a cold sexy expression on there face, now walk down the runway laughing and flapping their arms about like a windmill. 2001-2005 shows were the best.
Although Gisele wasn’t my fave model but I do have to say that she made the VS Fashion rock with her incredible struts on the runway. Heidi is okay but I really hate to be negative but I kinda thought she is a attention hogger. Although I think she is very pretty and in shape after 3 kids.
Behati at the VS show?!?! Oh my god. I thought she was alright for the show considering that she was not size 00 skinny but I never thought she would actually consider doing a VS show. I am dissapointed that Caroline, Raquel, nor Doutzen was their! Doutzen, Caroline, and Raquel was my main reason to watch the show this year cause I loved how they did last year but oh well I hope this the show goes well.
