Rock The Trend

The sneak preview for Kate Moss’s much anticipated collection for Topshop was revealed not long ago and the critics have been giving bad reviews about it. The New York Magazine called it a ’snore’ while the New York Post described it as ‘oddly familiar’…

However, i think it’s an OK effort from Kate Moss. Before her, there’re celebrities like Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez getting their hands on fashion designing. One notable point is that if you are famous, fashionable and stylish , it does not mean that you can create great clothes. Or of course unless you do have a real talent for it. Kate Moss, a supersupersupermodel, has worn countless designer clothes so we do assume that she has a good fashion taste, not to mention her being a trendsetter.

I think the clothes are pretty ‘Rock Star-ish’ but very hip at the same time. Girls-with-attitude will look good in them.

These are the more sophisticated pieces and I LOVE the white dress on the left. The layering details on the shoulder is fabulous and so feminine. I just don’t know what to say about the metallic dress though…

Then there’s Kate Moss modelling the clothes herself.

Commenting on the collection in the April issue of UK Vogue, Miss Moss said that ,”I kind of got bits from my closet. We started dragging things out I liked. We looked at stuff and I said, ‘Well, what if it was like this or that, and in this fabric or that?’”
